From a Boy to a Man Workshop
“From a Boy to a Man” is a free, modern day workshop designed especially for young men who could use additional male guidance and support during their journey into manhood. Oftentimes young men do not fully open up with their parents, but feel more comfortable in a group setting with a male role model/trained mentor. The goal of our workshop is to discuss the process of becoming a well-equipped respected man. It goes through the process of developing from a boy to a man. In addition, other areas are highlighted regarding academic and personal ambitions, accountability, clear communication skills, employment preparation, health education, anger management, taking responsibility for one’s own actions, consequences of improper conduct with young women, avoiding gangs, drugs or associated trouble, youth obesity, sports, and how to live a life of integrity and respect. These workshops will help guide young men into being better men and fathers.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the Center for Fathers and Families, 920 Del Paso Blvd, Sacramento. The workshop is free for young men between the ages of 12-18. Please register by calling Terry Moore at 916.568.3237 x210.
